Hiring a virtual assistant
What does a Filipino VA cost compared to hiring locally?
Usually a fraction of what an Australian employee costs once you add super, leave and a desk. And you get a dedicated, university educated person. The exact rate depends on hours and skills, so we quote after the first call.
How quickly can someone start?
Most clients meet candidates within a week or two of the first call and have their VA up and running within a few weeks. Specialist roles like bookkeeping can take a bit longer.
Will my VA work Australian hours?
Yes. Your VA works your business hours, so they're online when your customers, suppliers and team are.
Who looks after payroll and contracts?
We do. Your VA is engaged through us, so you get one invoice and don't have to deal with overseas contracts, currency or any of that.
What if it doesn't work out?
If it's not right in the first 90 days we find and set up a replacement for free. After that we still work with you to sort out issues or re-match if needed.
Is my business data safe with someone overseas?
Every VA signs a confidentiality agreement and works through your own accounts and permissions. We help you set up password managers, two factor and limited logins before they start.
Do you actually work with trades?
That's where we started. Ryan's a Master Plumber, and we've put VAs with plumbers, sparkies, builders and compliance firms who need quotes chased, jobs booked and invoices out the door.
Can one VA do more than one type of work?
Yes. Plenty of clients start with admin and add bookkeeping or customer service once their VA has settled in. We'll match you with someone whose skills cover what you need.
Is the first call free?
Yes. It's a free 20 minute call to work out what you'd hand over and whether a VA is the right fix. No sales pitch.
Can a bookkeeping VA lodge my BAS?
No. Lodging BAS and giving tax advice for a fee needs a registered BAS or tax agent. Your VA does the day to day bookkeeping and works alongside your accountant.
How do you choose your VAs?
We look for skill, professionalism and integrity. Every VA goes through skills tests, an English check, reference checks and an interview before you meet them, then gets trained in how your business likes things done.
What kind of work can a VA take on?
Operations and admin, marketing, customer service and executive support like inbox and calendar management. If it's done on a computer and it's eating your week, it's worth asking about on the call.
Do you just place the VA and disappear?
No. We help your VA settle into your systems, keep the communication flowing and check in regularly. You get more than a VA, you get a team that's invested in your business doing well.
